Creating a flower border in your garden

A great way to add style to your garden is by creating a beautiful flower border to frame your garden. Flower borders are easy to create and allow you to be creative with your choice of flowers and border style.

Most commonly, flower borders line the three edges of a garden but can be used on just one or two if that’s what you prefer. To start the process of creating a flower border, you must dig up the area you want the border and line the ground so weeds do not get through. Following this, place fresh soil onto the lining and begin planting your flowers in a design that suits you.

Your flower border can blend into the grass, or alternatively, you could create a clear edge using rocks or a miniature wooden peg fence. There are many different options in local garden centres if you need some inspiration.
