It’s that time of year again when the red, gold and yellow leaves cover our lawns, whilst we allow our children to play with them and we celebrate Autumn. It’s a wonderful time of year, right? Well not exactly. If you don’t keep on top of the leaves and clear them away, your lawn can suffer. Wet soggy leaves can do a fair bit of damage to our lawns, possibly meaning they’re not able to breathe, whilst leaves will make it much more difficult to mow your lawn too. We always recommend you keep on top of it by raking leaves, and not using a blower. By raking the leaves you can pull them through the grass no matter how long or short it is, and then arrange into a nice tidy pile to throw in the bin. It’s quite a tedious job because every evening there will likely be more leaves to collect, but it’s worth it, and your lawn will thank you for it too. Don’t let the leaves contaminate your lawn, start clearing them away today.
